Town Soccer (K-4th Grade)
Thank you for your interest in joining Hingham Youth Soccer! We are a co-ed league for children between Kindergarten and 4th grade. All games for Hingham Youth Soccer Town Soccer are played in the town of Hingham. Our next season kicks off in September 2026.
- All players must wear shin guards, completely covered by soccer socks, during practice and game time in order to be allowed to participate.
- Players may wear soccer cleats or sneakers. Soccer cleats are preferred because they provide better traction, but they are not required
- Each player should bring a water bottle to all games.
Ages
Town soccer is organized into a series of divisions based on age.
Kickers K: Kindergarten boys and girls (teams are co-ed)
Kickers 1: 1st grade, teams split by gender.
Juniors: 2nd grade, teams split by gender.
Seniors: 3nd and 4th grade mixed together, teams split by gender.
When
All players that sign up to play Hingham Youth Soccer will be enrolled in both the Fall and Spring sessions.
Fall Session: September through first weekend of November. No games played during Columbus Day weekend.
Spring Session: April through first weekend of June. No games played the first weekend of April break.

Schedule & Time Commitment
Game Times
All games are one hour in duration. Games take place during the following windows:
Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Saturday mornings
2nd/3rd/4th Grades: Saturdays, typically between mid-morning and late afternoon.
Practice
All 2G-4G players will have one weeknight practice a week.
Practices take place on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights.
Practice is one hour, sometime between 5:30-7:30PM.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Uniforms and Equipment
Equipment
All players must wear shin guards. Cleats are optional, but recommended.
Kindergartens will be given a size 3 soccer ball. All other players are asked to bring their own ball.
Uniforms
For Kindergarten and 1G: players will be issued reversible pinneys.
For 2G through 4G: players will be issued official professional team branded uniforms.
Registration Costs
The cost for in-town registration is $210.
