Travel Soccer (5th-8th Grade)
The Hingham Youth Soccer travel program offers competitive play for players in Grades 5-8 who are looking for higher-level skill development and match competition against neighboring South Shore towns in the Coastal Youth Soccer League.
Ages
Travel soccer is divided into four divisions:
- Grade 5/6 Boys
- Grade 5/6 Girls
- Grade 7/8 Boys
- Grade 7/8 Girls
When
The travel season will consist of 8 games in the fall (no games on Columbus Day weekend), and 8 games in the spring.
Spring games may be played over April vacation week, but those dates will not be known until March.
No games will be played on Memorial Day Weekend.
Travel teams have the opportunity to qualify for the Coastal Youth Soccer League playoffs in mid-June, and the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions ("MTOC") in late June 2026.

Travel games are played at the Union Street fields, located across the street from Hingham High School.

Practices
Teams practice once a week, on a weeknight, for roughly one hour.
